Online Session Drums

Greetings! I’m Mark, a seasoned drummer based in the UK. With over 40 years of drumming experience, I’ve honed my skills by collaborating with numerous bands, spanning musical genres from reggae through to rock.
Finding a skilled drummer can be challenging. Opting for drum loops or spending hours programming drums often results in lackluster and unoriginal tracks that fail to do justice to your music.

Recording drums that sound professional, isn't entirely straightforward. There are many things to consider and they all need to be right if you want great results. It’s not just about setting up microphones and using the best equipment. More importantly, you need to make sure you have, well tuned drums, played with consistency and control, in a good sounding room. Once these elements are right, you can then move on to microphone choice, placement and the signal chain used to capture the performance.

Using this online drum recording service can give your music the professional drum treatment it deserves! Skip the hassle and unnecessary expense of hiring a studio, a drummer, and an engineer.
Simply send me your song via email, and I’ll record high-quality drum tracks in my studio. Within 48 hours, you’ll receive the tracks back, ready for you to seamlessly integrate into your music. Let’s elevate your sound!

Just follow the steps below:

1. Get in touch using the contact form, or email address, so we can discuss your project details. Once we have a clear idea of what is needed, we will provide you with a quote for the session.

2. Send a stereo file of your track and we'll start the tracking process. This involves many steps:
a. Learning the song.
b.
Selecting drum kit components and tuning the kit to fit your song.
c. Sound check to make sure it's right.
d. Tracking and comping.
e. Some genres require every beat to be grid aligned, so quantizing if that's required.
f. If you require processed tracks they need to be mixed.
g. Export files to send.

3. We send you a stereo MP3 track to listen to. At this stage we can discuss if any revisions are needed at no extra cost.

4. When you are completely happy, we will send an invoice and link for you to make a secure payment. After we receive payment, we will send a link for you to download all of the uncompressed, hi-resolution multi-tracks.

Online Session Guitars

We are fortunate to have a pool of extremely talented guitarists available for session work.

Bass - The backbone of your music, the glue that gels the guitars and drums.
We have a range of bass guitars that cover many genres. From American classic jazz guitars to 5 string active beasts, loaded with active EMG pickups. (We don't cover extreme metal, or crazy low tuning at the moment, but we might invest, if we have enough requests!)
All styles: Finger, Slapping, Tapping and Picking.

Guitar - Such a wonderful instrument that can be used in many ways from basic rhythm tracks that bolster music, to tiny, barely audible embellishments that add texture and depth to music.
Our guitar collection ranges from classical nylon, small body acoustic, jumbo body acoustic, telecasters and strats, to 7 string active power houses!
Whether you want simple strummed chords, or screaming solos, we've got this covered!

Re-amping - Are you happy with your guitar performance, but don't like you tone? We can help with this! We have access to a wide range of amps and cabs, from classic, all-valve combos like the rare WEM Dominator, to full Marshall stacks.

Whatever the vocal range you need covering, we can help you!
We work with a group of vocalists covering the entire range from bass to baritone, and all the way up to soprano. Male and Female vocalists, providing vocal performances from soft to screaming.

We specialise in harmonies, and offer anything from a single close harmony, all the way up to multi tracked, stacked vocals and vocal pads.

We're even lucky enough to have one particular male singer, capable of mimicking many well known artists!

Whether you are looking to enrich your own vocal performance, by carefully wrapping balanced harmonies around it, or you have written a song you'd like to hear finished, but don't have the confidence to sing it yourself, we can help with this and turn your ideas into a finished product.

Feel free to contact us to discuss your needs and we'll do out very best to deliver what you've imagined.

Other services we offer

Midi (Musical Instrument Digital Interface)
In the early 1980's midi came about as a way of synchronizing electronic musical instruments, made by different manufacturers.
We started using midi many years ago on old Atari ST computers... Things have moved on a long way over the past 40 years! You no longer need a room packed full of instruments, (although it's nice to have a few around) because of the incredible developments in the software domain.

Here at green frog productions we have a Roland TD, midi drum kit, a couple of korg keyboards and a full size 88 key, weighted midi keyboard controller. These tools enable us to capture live performances as midi.

With years of experience in drum programming, we can create midi parts for your songs using live capture, or programming the parts from scratch, by hand. Our accumulated knowledge of playing and recording drums, helps us get the midi files as close as possible to sounding authentic. This is also helped by some of the incredibly detailed virtual instruments now available.
If you want programmed drums for your songs, no problem!
We can arrange and provide this service using the the same procedure listed above, for live session drums. The only difference is, we will provide uncompressed multi tracks of the chosen drum kit samples and midi files. If you decide to change your drum sound, you can.

We can also program many different musical elements like synths, keys, piano, bass, string sections... Just about anything you need to elevate your music to the next level! - this kind of work is usually part of the production service we offer.
